Site Information and Rules

Dunn Street Farm is open for camping from April to September.  Out of season the fields are grazed by our sheep to keep the grass in good condition.

We have 2 fields available for camping.

Strawberry Field, our main field, is located at the far end of the farm yard and has a choice of 8 Electric Hook Up (EHU) pitches and 6 pitches without EHU. The pitches are well spaced and located around the perimeter of the field, leaving lots of room for games etc. Cars are permitted on Strawberry field only for unloading and loading and must be parked in the adjacent parking area at other times.  There are mains water taps at each end of the field, adjacent to the gates. Pitches on Strawberry Field are suitable for tents, touring caravans, campervans and motorhomes.

Brocks’ Paddock, our second camping field, is used mainly for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award groups during school term time and for family camping during the school holidays.  Brocks’ Paddock is located opposite the main farm entrance.  The pitches on Brocks Paddock are all without EHU but campers are allowed to keep their cars by their tents.  There is a mains water tap by the gate. Pitches on Brocks Paddock are suitable for tents and campervans but access can be difficult with caravans and large motorhomes.

The campsite toilets, showers and washing up facilities are located between the two fields in the farmyard.

Dogs are permitted on site by arrangement only, and only if they are quiet, well behaved and kept on leads at all times.  Any mess must be disposed of properly.

Small, raised fire pits and raised charcoal barbecues are permitted so long as they are used with care. Water buckets are available for dampening the grass underneath as a precautionary measure. Barbecues and pits should be supervised at all times and extinguished with water when finished with. Strictly no camp fires or barbecues on the ground. Barbecue and fire pit ash must be disposed of in the metal bins marked ‘BBQ ASH ONLY’ and not be dumped in the hedge under any circumstances.

We sell locally produced firewood and charcoal on site but campers must bring their own pits / barbecues.  Do not cut wood from the hedgerows or collect dead wood to burn as this causes damage and destroys habit and uses up valuable food and habitat for insects.

We do our very best to keep the site litter free.  It is essential that guests do not litter the site.  Please make good use of the recycling facilities which are provided in the yard.

Dunn Street farm is intended to be a quiet, family site so please do not cause disturbance to other campers, no car stereos etc. and keep noise to an absolute minimum after 10pm.

All bookings are limited to a maximum stay of 7 nights.
